YALUK LANGA – INDIGENOUS GARDEN
The Yaluk Langa project at the Heide Museum of Modern Art is a collaborative indigenous garden initiative developed with the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung people. It honors the cultural significance of the Birrarung/Yarra River and aims to create a culturally safe space for education, ceremony, and reconciliation. The project rehabilitates and transforms the riverfront into diverse experiential zones, highlighting the area’s indigenous flora and the Wurundjeri’s traditional practices.
